I thought I was just coming to clean up an overgrown yard… but the second I pulled up, I could tell this one was different.
The trees were hanging over the roof, the bushes had completely taken over, and you could barely even see the front porch. Then I met the homeowner — and what she told me hit me hard.
She’s been battling cancer since March… and while she’s been fighting for her life, her own neighbor, a State Trooper, called her into the county. Not once — but twice. It made me stop and think — what kind of world are we living in, when someone can see their neighbor struggling and choose to make things harder instead of helping? That’s when I knew we had to do something.
