Make Portable Cooling Misters - No Hose Needed to Beat the Heat

Описание: Make your own portable, personal mister for a cool & constant spray of water to beat the heat. See how to this version of the patio mister for a personal use size plus several options to Dial it in for your needs. This is meant for a 1 person cooling effect. The whole effect of a mister system takes advantage of a process called evaporative cooling; moisture exposed to air flow creates a cooling effect. This video builds on a previous project where I made two versions that connect to a hose for constant water flow. The benefit of the current project is that it is portable and does not require a hose, motor or power (i.e. plug or battery). This means it is perfect for a backpack, patio / beach chair, shade umbrella, picnic table or anywhere you need some cooled, moist air!

Key Materials:
Brass mister nozzle (I got 20 on Amazon for just over $10 total)
empty, clean 2 liter bottle
cheap air pump (picked mine up for $1 at a discount store)
1/4" drip irrigation tubing (roughly 4 feet)
3/16" brass hose barbs - aka splicer (X2)
1/4" clear vinyl tubing (roughly 2 feet)
zip ties
Optional: in line on / off valve (used with drip irrigation tubing)
Optional: velcro to attach pump to bottle for easy access and storage

WARNING: only fill bottle 2/3 full of water. Only pump to the pressure needed to make the mister system work. Over pressurizing a bottle such as this could result in a potentially dangerous rupture.
