TATA Motors has announced that it has replaced the Nexon’s mid-spec XT variant with the XT plus. The new Nexon XT+ petrol and diesel variants are priced at Rs 8.02 lakh and Rs 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. Priced at a premium of Rs 7,000 over the XT variant, the 2019 Tata Nexon XT+ variant gets a few additional features too.

The Nexon XT plus now features DRLs and fog lamps just like the top-spec XZ+ and XZA+ variants. Additionally, these features have also made its way to the XZ variant, which is a step above the XT+. However, the 2019 new Tata Nexon XT+ variant still misses out on alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna which is present in higher variants.

On the inside, upgrades in the new variant include an 8-speaker sound system with USB/AUX/Bluetooth, height-adjustable driver seat and rear AC vents. But the Tata car still misses out on the ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system by Harman Kardon with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity offered in the higher-end variants.

The 2019 Nexon XT+ remains unchanged mechanically. It is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-liter Revotron diesel engine. The petrol unit puts out 110PSof power and 170Nm of torque, while the diesel motor churns out 110PS and 260Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual. However, customers can also pick the AMT option with the Nexon’s XMA and XZA+ variants.

The 2019 Tata Nexon XT plus fuel economy ranges at 17.6 kmpl as per the ARAI claim. The mileage figures can vary slightly depending upon the driving conditions, and traffic conditions involving stop and go driving. In general, a mileage of 15 kmpl can be expected in city driving and up to 17 kmpl can be achieved on the highway.

The Tata Nexon 1.2 Revotron XT+ brake system has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, and the anti-lock braking system is featured for efficient braking.

The Tata Nexon price starts from Rs 6.58 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 11.00 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant and is offered in seven different variants. The sub-4m SUV currently rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSports, Mahindra XUV 300 and the Hyundai Venue.

The Tata Motors Nexon 1.2 Revotron XT+ is the latest and trendy model with a superb combination of utility features, and premium quality interior fit and finish. The high reliable performance of the engine and driveline and the comfort features make Nexon car a worthy buy.
