How to make a Japanese riving brake with an axe!

Описание: You don't need an axe for this project but it makes it faster. And Funner!

Japanese riving brakes have at least one advantage over western ones. Going to have some fun using this new tool in the future.

Riving brakes are used to hold wood we want to split or rive and to help control the split along with a froe. For ages I didn't think the Japanese had a tool that resembled a froe but then I found one and then I found a picture of a Japanese Riving Brake.

I'm no master but I've got some skills and some very nice toys. On this channel I share what I know and what I think will help and invite you to join me learning new stuff and exploring different tools and techniques.
