Описание: When we were planning our SE Asia backpacking trip, we found YouTube an invaluable resource for accommodation reviews. Now we are on our adventures, we want to share with you our views on the Pongphen Guesthouse in Kanchanaburi where we stayed for 2 nights in October 2024.

This budget hotel is very reasonably priced, situated right on the banks of the River Kwai and only a short walk to the historic Bridge over the River Kwai. This is a no frills guesthouse, but with a fantastic staff who will make you feel right at home in historic Kanchanaburi.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
