South Korea continues to keep a close watch on a North Korean port near its famed Mount Kumgang - amid signs of its revitalization. It's been reported since last week that the North may be developing Jangjon Port into a naval base. There's been construction work done, like new buildings spotted there and military vessels appearing with unusual frequency - though that doesn't necessarily mean it will be restored as a naval base, as speculated by the media here. But any developments in the area are highly sensitive, with inter-Korean relations at stake.
