Hi everyone, I’m Shivam Kumar Rai and this is the first video in my series where I take you step-by-step through the process of getting a German student visa — from India, as someone transitioning from India → Germany’s higher-education system. ❗ Why this matters
As of early 2025, the German student visa process has become much more digital. The old manual, paper-heavy, wait-in-queue method is being replaced by the CSP portal, meaning you must pay extra attention to correct document submission, form-filling, and timelines.

💡 Quick Tip before you dive in:

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 12 months from your intended entry.
Make a clear-scan (PDF) of the passport data page, admission letter, transcripts before you start uploading.
Use a fresh email address when registering on CSP; avoid using something messy or shared.
After uploading your documents, monitor your email / CSP account daily — you may get a notification to fix something.
