The Guild's Annual Conference 2018 Highlights

Описание: The Guild’s 25th Anniversary conference was the most successful yet. Over 400 members from across the UK attended the landmark conference, held at County Hall, Westminster Bridge, in the heart of London.

More than 35 awards were presented by Iain McKenzie, CEO of the Guild at the gala dinner and awards ceremony. “This was my first year at the annual conference. We celebrated excellence within our network and across the industry. It is testament to the growth of The Guild over the past 12 months,” said Iain McKenzie.

Keynote speakers on the day included Anthony Codling, Managing Director at Jeffries, who revealed that only one major online DIY agent sold 51.6% of the properties they listed. The data in Codling’s presentation was released only minutes before he took to the stage. Gavin Hastings, rugby legend, also presented during the conference. He gave a motivational speech on the importance of teamwork, both on the pitch and in the office.

This year, the awards were powered partly by The ESTAS, the only industry awards based solely on reviews. Simon Brown, Founder of The ESTAS commented: "Integrating customer feedback into The Guild’s judging process demonstrates how important customer experience is to The Guild and makes these awards even more valuable. Congratulations to all the winners."

There were 35 silver and gold awards for lettings and sales across the Midlands, South East, South West, London, East Anglia and Wales. Awards for best overall Guild agents were also presented. Each office collected their awards in front of nearly 300 estate agents on 1 February 2018.

Victorstone Property Consultants won the ‘Overall Guild Agent of the Year’ in sales. Scott Hailou, Director at Victorstone said: “It was an incredible achievement to be acknowledged for outstanding levels of customer service, industry expertise and performance. Our business has not only benefited from the Guilds high standards, but the continued support over the past year.”
