Filmmaker Amar Kaushik, who launched the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe with Stree in 2018, says criticism is essential for creative growth. Speaking to PTI about his latest production Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, Kaushik said he values constructive feedback and believes that “you will move forward only when you keep your critics close.”
Addressing reviews calling Thamma one of the weaker MHCU entries, Kaushik said the real victory for a filmmaker lies in keeping audiences engaged. He added that Thamma explores a new emotional space within the horror-comedy genre and remains confident in its storytelling and performances.
