Tech Tip Thursday, where we're here with Ollie and we answer your questions. This week, different types of brake pads for my e-bike. Ollie, I've got a resin pad and a metallic pad here. What's the difference?
Well, most commonly found on your e-bike is going to be a resin pad, and that is due to the fact that they perform great in a variety of conditions. They are quiet, and they are less expensive. That being said, I actually prefer a metallic pad because they are less prone to heat fade. They perform great in wet conditions and quite simply, they're going to last longer.
