'Sabrina' is Emmeline's first standalone single since the release of her debut EP 'Satellite Navigation System' on 70Hz Recordings.
"Sabrina is really an antidote to winter. It's escapist character play, based on the Audrey Hepburn film of the same name, in which a young girl watches on from the sidelines as she fantasises her entry into the adult world of summer night dancing and cigars in the library. It's a film I used to watch with my Grandmother, who is also called Audrey, and therefore has particularly nostalgic significance for me. I suppose a lot of the music I'm writing at the moment is coming from that place of nostalgia; the first EP was made after I had moved away from home to London, and part of that transition for me now is reflecting back on childhood, and relating to this image of a young woman on the precipice of change.”
