Описание: "MORE THAN PAINT" l DOCUMENTARY l TRAILER l WORLD PREMIER l PREMIERING Wayfarer Theatre Highland Park, IL November 21, 2024 7PM
In June this year my fiancé and I curated a huge mural festival in the suburbs of Chicago (Highwood, IL). We brought 12 of the most talented artists that we know, all with different styles as part of a "Beautification of the City Project. We had 4 Days to complete 12 murals all spanning over 12,000 square feet. My Fiancé was born and raised in Highland Park, IL where there was a tragic shooting at their annual 4th of July Parade a few years ago. She was deeply affected by what happened in her hometown, and she wanted to bring some art, color and hope back to a community that needed it. We ended up doing the murals in Highwood, in conjunction with Art Director James Lynch from Highland Park Art Center. Who in turn connected us to the wonderful folks at celebrate Highwood.
This film showcases this little suburb in chicago being totally transformed in less than one week. This city had just one Mural, now there are 13.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this to fruition. Can't wait to do many more of these events in the future.
