I decided to start another series because I didn't follow through with the first one. I like to finish things, after all! :D So I felt like starting another RoR series that I didn't have to take much time editing and posting to YouTube. I also wanted to get more content for all of you to enjoy since I have, on average, been uploading only one video per week. I really do hope everyone likes it.

This game is really fun to play, btw. And even though it has a few years on it, I still come back to it every so often to play it.

Also, NEWS FLASH!

If you didn't hear, the devs are starting or have started (not 100% sure) work on Regions of Ruin 2!!!!! I can't wait and would love to Beta test it (...just in case the devs read this...).

In this first episode, "Just Getting Settled In," I quickly go through the tutorial stage and start my dwarven adventure! I start my settlement and buy a few buildings like the storage tent and tavern. I didn't get to the tavern game yet, but I will soon! Promise! The tavern game is SUPER useful and gives you crucial game perks.

Ever wonder what would happen if Kingdom met a broad, skill based open world RPG? Welcome to Regions of Ruin.

Regions of Ruin is a 2D side-scrolling RPG with town-building where you are introduced to an open world that progressively challenges your hero and settlement the further you delve into the vast continent.

You will discover a foreboding land ravaged by hundreds of years of hardship. Where kingdoms have risen and fallen, settlements have been laid to waste and overrun by warring groups, and great mysteries lay hidden and waiting to be unearthed - assuming you can defeat their jealous guardians.


Main Features include:

• Styled combat system with stats and levelling
• Skill tree to focus your fighting style
• Extensive loot and rare items to discover
• Forge your own equipment or smelt it for resources
• Open world exploration with a hand crafted environment, no randomized maps or levels, everything you see has been made with care
• Customised town building and expansion
• Rescue and recruit dwarves for your township (save them from extinction!)
• Send workers to harvest resources from explored regions
• Hire Mercenaries to help in battle
• Multitude of Quests and a main storyline

This has been a long time coming, and from all of the support we've received, we knew it had to be done. We're excited to be working on our favorite little game again! And thrilled to announce that we will begin development next month.

It has been exactly one year since we released Regions of Ruin to 1.0, so today is a very fitting day to announce development on the sequel.

If you've completed the story in Regions of Ruin you know there is a premise for another segment of the story. Some of you may also be asking "What will be so different in Regions of Ruin 2?" well I'm glad you asked, in short: a lot. Now to extrapolate on that:

Currently, in Regions of Ruin, there are around 20 hours of total content to get through, but once you've finished it, there really isn't much more to do. Our goal for ROR2 is that once you finish the 20 hours of main content, you can then select your hero and travel to a new land and explore a new map with new enemies and new quests. We hope when the community gets together we'll see enough user made maps to keep you occupied for a lifetime.
