The Serpentine Range is a mountain range stretching along the border of the the Southern Alps to Fjordland.
The majority of my multi-day hike was off track, but there are some sections marked with cairns and I could follow previous routes taken on Topo Maps.
There are multiple high-alpine lakes that provide beautiful camping spots.
