It is worth noting that Patil is a well-known supporter of Siddaramaiah and appeared to have the backing of another loyalist, Dinesh Gundu Rao. Following a meeting with the Congress High Command and MB Patil, DK Shivakumar mentioned that the agenda of the meeting could not be disclosed publicly. Furthermore, he clarified that there were no differences or disputes with MB Patil.
