Описание: Automated visual field testing can give valuable information in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, optic nerve disorders, and other eye and brain problems that can affect vision. In this episode of A State of Sight, Isaac Porter, MD explains how a visual test is performed from the patient perspective and how this is interpreted. During the test, each eye is tested separately, and lights of varying brightness are displayed in the peripheral vision. The patient will press a button when they see the light and the information will be processed by a computer to determine the extent of their visual field.
