Severe flooding in Limpopo and Mpumalanga has once again highlighted the vulnerability of South Africa's natural heritage.
At the Kruger National Park, rising river levels have caused widespread damage, impacting wildlife habitats, the natural environment, and critical infrastructure.
Park authorities are assessing the extent of the destruction, as concerns grow over displaced animals, damaged roads and bridges, and the long-term environmental consequences of these floods.
