"number 28" is a quad solo that I wrote with influence from the French-American snare drum solos of Joseph Tompkins, among other places. My goal was to present a marching percussion instrument in a more concert percussion style. I gave myself the parameter of 28 measures and wrote an original snare drum solo before then voicing it around the quads.
