knocks.
A generative composition that utilises the nature of tape and recording speeds to achieved the desired sound.
Knocks was originally composed at 60bpm; this was then sped to 70bpm on the Digitone and recorded at the highest speed possible onto the cassette so that it could be subsequently slowed down in playback by turning the pitch dial down.
Recorded directly from cassette onto a Roland R-07 and lightly processed in Ableton.
