This demonstration shows how to operate the FincaLab Sample Huller.
First weight out your sample: 350 grams, for parchment/washed coffee, 600 grams for capulín/dried cherry natural.
Then begin to pass the sample through the huller. We recommend at least 5-7 passes to ensure most of the grains have been hulled. Each sample varies depending on how dry/fresh the parchment is.
@1:30 min: Hull by hand any stubborn grains that still have parchment or skin remaining. Then pass the sample through the huller for the final clean.
Note: Suction by vacuum needs to be calibrated to ensure the vacuum is only sucking up the parchment and not the beans. This is accomplished by opening or closing the vent where the vacuum hose connects to the huller. Two screws loosen a plate that rotates to increase or decrease suction by the vacuum.
