This video was shot of the long distance (50km) Race Walking event at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.
The video was shot Robert Young (Larry's father) on site during the race and through the medal ceremony in which Larry Young received the Bronze medal.
The 8mm film shot by Robert Young was utilized in training sessions with Larry Young to emulate and improve upon technique. These videos represent some of the first utilization of video in the sport to improve performance.
