My friend Haobam Nanao joins me as my guest on this week’s Friday Jam. Nanao fronted Imphal’s explosive rock band Ultra Vires in the late 80s but had to give up singing due to health challenges. He now engages himself as a drug-user activist, reminding society that addiction needs compassion more than judgement. He may not hit the soaring notes like he once did so effortlessly, but what remains unchanged is his heart for music — and our friendship. This jam is for that.
