Описание: Teaching Change launched a Citizen Science for Hawaiian Forest Data project in 2020, with the goal to recruit Hawaiʻi Island students to support screening of ʻōhiʻa trees for Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death resistance. In this video, Kirie shows us how to propagate ʻōhiʻa from seeds and how to take care of your seedling. Students participating in this project will donate 1/2 of their seedlings to the Institute of Pacific Island Forestry greenhouse, where they will be screened to see if they have genetics that help them resistance Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death.
