Built in the 1980s for China’s Sixth National Games, the complex helped transform the former Tianhe Airport area into the modern Tianhe commercial district seen today. Beneath this busy sports and shopping corridor is Fashion Tianhe, a large underground mall filled with shops, food, entertainment, metro passages, and retro-themed streets.
