Various shots of the ceremony opening the new Lincoln Tunnel that runs under the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey. Crowds of people watch soldiers march along, carrying the American flag. New York's Governor Laymen officially opens the 'South Tube' and several army vehicles are seen going into the tunnel, travelling through it and coming out the other side.
