Kolkata: Suvendu Adhikari announces induction of four prominent figures into BJP

State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya formally inducted the new members by handing them the party flag. Senior leaders, including former MP Locket Chatterjee, were present.

Those who joined include former NSG personnel Dipanjan Chakraborty, a retired CRPF officer of DSP rank, ₹1 crore Kaun Banega Crorepati winner Biplab Biswas, Kasturi Goswami—daughter of late minister Kshiti Goswami—and Dr. Akshay Binzelkar, associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Adhikari said their inclusion would strengthen the BJP’s organisational base and nationalist agenda in West Bengal.
