The attack took place around 12:10 AM at Thakurli railway station as the victim was travelling from Mumbai to Ambernath. The accused reportedly fled after the assault, while the injured passenger was taken into the custody of the Railway Police at Kalyan station and admitted to Rukminibai Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
