Decided to crank out another one quick, got a wild hair and went for it. Nothing crazy busy or technical on this one, but surprisingly challenging to keep a simple grove consistently and hold it in the pocket. Not sure I fully succeeded, but it was worth the effort. Sometimes the most difficult songs to play are the simple steady grooves. It's always good to be reminded that drumming is first a time and tempo element of music, and the simple beats played well can really drive a song and pound it into the listener. STP is one of my favorite bands for just this reason. Enjoy, and THANK YOU for viewing and listening - I appreciate every one of you.

Note: I decided to try a different camera angle on this one from my usual setup - I think it's a nice change of pace.

Recorded with Reaper using stock plug-ins and a 4-mic set up (Kick, Snare, OH-L, OH-R). No samples or triggers used. My experiment is to use the simplest, cheapest methods to get a quality sound and video offering. Video was edited on free version of DaVinci Resolve 16.
