مسجد تو بنا دی شب بھر میں ایماں کی حرارت والوں نے
من اپنا پُرانا پاپی ہے، برسوں میں نمازی بن نہ سکا

Masjid To Bana Di Shab Bhar Mein Iman Ki Hararat Walon Ne
Mann Apna Purana Papi Hai, Barsoun Mein Namazi Ban Na Saka

Though the mosque was built overnight by the believers
Our heart being old sinner for years devout could not be

کیا خوب امیرِ فیصل کو سَنّوسی نے پیغام دیا
تُو نام و نَسب کا حجازی ہے پر دل کا حجازی بن نہ سکا

Kya Khoob Ameer-e-Faisal Ko Sannosi Ne Paigham Diya
Tu Naam-o-Nasb Ka Hijazi Hai Par Dil Ka Hijazi Ban Na Saka

What a beautiful message did Sanusi give to King Faisal
By descent you Hijazi are, but in heart Hijazi could no be

تر آنکھیں تو ہو جاتی ہیں، پر کیا لذّت اس رونے میں
جب خُونِ جگر کی آمیزش سے اشک پیازی بن نہ سکا

Tar Ankhain To Ho Jati Hain, Kya Lazzat Iss Rone Mein
Jab Khoon-e-Jigar Ki Amaizish Se Ashak Piyazi Ban Na Saka

Though eyes become wet there is no pleasure is in this weeping
If by mixture of affliction’s blood tears pink could not be

اقبالؔ بڑا اُپدیشک ہے من باتوں میں موہ لیتا ہے
گفتارکا یہ غازی تو بنا،کردار کا غازی بن نہ سکا

Iqbal Bara Updeshak Hai, Mann Baaton Mein Moh Leta Hai
Guftar Ka Ye Ghazi To Bana, Kirdar Ka Ghazi Ban Na Saka

Iqbal is a good advisor, fascinates the heart in moments
He did become hero in talk, but one in deeds he could not be.

Apni Millat Par Qiyas Aqwam-e-Maghrib Se Na Kar
Khas Hai Tarkeeb Mein Qoum-e-Rusool-e-Hashmi

Judge not your nation on the criteria of Western nations
Special in composition is the Hashimi Prophet’s nation

اُن کی جمعیّت کا ہے مُلک و نسَب پر انحصار
قوّتِ مذہب سے مستحکم ہے جمعیّت تری

Un Ki Jamiat Ka Hai Mulk-o-Nasab Par Inhasar
Quwwat-e-Mazhab Se Mustahkam Hai Jamiat Teri

Based on country and race is their organization
The force of din stabilizes your organization

دامنِ دیں ہاتھ سے چھُوٹا تو جمعیّت کہاں
اور جمعیّت ہوئی رُخصت تو مِلّت بھی گئی

Daman-e-Deen Hath Se Chhuta To Jamiat Kahan
Aur Jamiat Huwi Rukhsat To Millat Bhi Gyi

If the din’s skirt is lost, disappears the organization
And if organization departs also disappears the nation!
