EXTERIOR: Dang this is a good looking car! The sleek fastback design and it's decked out with spoilers, window louvers, racing mirrors and black racing stripes. The body is outstanding. It's laser beam straight, fits really nice, no rust or damage. Repainted its original yellow and it looks like a piece of glass. All the chrome and trim, rocker moldings are in excellent shape. The windshield, weather strips and seals have been replaced. It is sitting on beautiful 15 inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in Wide Oval reproduction tires.

INTERIOR: Deluxe interior with high back bucket seats, molded door panels and a center console. It looks practically new. Down on the floor is new carpet and reproduction mats. Above is a new headliner, visors, and mirror. In front of me is a new dash pad, the knobs, bezels, heater controls and rim blow horn are in excellent shape. The interior lights are working.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This has its original VIN number match 428 Cobra Jet ram air motor. They were factory rated at 335 horsepower but were actually rated by the NHRA at 390! The CJ 428 actually uses a heavier duty block. Original #s Holley carb specific for a 428 CJ. Concourse restored engine compartment and it's very freshly detailed. Correct finned aluminum valve covers, correct and complete air cleaner assembly with shaker scoop and even the heat riser tube. It is complete with correct smog equipment. Reproduction clamps and hoses. Reproduction Autolite battery. The factory markings were reapplied. All the metal surfaces are painted smooth. It features power brakes and a Ford washer fluid bottle.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pristine metal all painted gloss yellow. It has reproduction weatherstrip, trunk mat, trunk latch and decal. It also has the collapsible spare tire with the jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: It's been completely restored and detailed to concourse specs with the original assembly line markings. The Mach 1 comes with a competition suspension which has been completely rebuilt. The steering has been rebuilt too. Correct reproduction dual exhaust with h-pipe and chrome tips. The fuel system has been replaced. The brake system has been completely redone, disc in front. Looking up at the motor it's spotless Ford blue with a Motorcraft oil filter and correct starter. Original C6 heavy duty automatic trans with the correct tag attached to it. Rebuilt drive shaft goes back to the original 3.50 traction-loc rear end. The floors are all crisp, clean metal sprayed in the factory correct primer.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and replaced the points, condenser and coil. We replaced the ignition lock cylinder, repaired the ground for the reverse lights, and replaced the door jamb light switch. We repaired the sport lights, fuel gauge, temp gauge, replaced the horns, calibrated the speedo, gave it a front end alignment, installed a new ring and pinion kit and adjusted the emergency brake.

This is the one to have. They started with a low mile, complete car so the concourse restoration turned out wonderfully. Very few have actual VIN number match motor like this one. It's a documented investment grade car, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be out enjoying it!
