It is with wagging tails and warm memories that we announce the "retirement" of our beloved Pixel, who officially traded her favorite living room pillow for the endless cuddles of the afterlife.

Pixel didn't just live life; she snuggled it. While most dogs have hobbies like chasing squirrels or fetching sticks, Pixel was a professional specialist in the field of "The Human Touch." Her life’s mission was simple and singular: to be within petting distance of a human hand at all times. If there was a lap available, she was in it; if there was a hug offered, she was lost in it.

The vets told us she had a "heart condition," but those of us who knew her best knew the truth: Pixel’s heart was simply too full of love. She spent her years packing so much affection, devotion, and joy into that chest of hers that it eventually ran out of room. She didn't have a medical problem; she had an abundance problem.

She leaves behind a family with slightly less fur on their clothes but an infinite amount of warmth in their souls. We find comfort knowing that wherever she is now, the "No Dogs" rule doesn't exist, and there is a never-ending line of people waiting to tell her what a very Good Girl she is.
