The Tongariro Northern Circuit, one of New Zealand's renowned Great Walks, is nestled within Tongariro National Park. I completed this incredible trail hut-to-hut over three days. The hike winds through a striking volcanic landscape, showcasing steaming vents, ancient lava flows, and brilliantly colored crater lakes. Along the way, you'll also be treated to stunning views of Mount Ngauruhoe (famously known as Mount Doom from The Lord of the Rings films) and Mount Ruapehu.
