Ninja Gaiden (2004) (Xbox 360) | Finale

Описание: This is finishing up Chapter 15 with the Vigoor Emperor boss fights and finishing out the game with the run up to the final boss Murai fight. Vigoor Emperor is as awkward to fight as he always is. I messed up a bit on my first attempt not using ninpo much before being resurrected. First phase I always find way easier by just spamming ninpo on the female form and getting in a few sword swings before the laser spam starts. For the life of me I just CANNOT dodge its laser spam with the awkward floating platform controls.

The 2nd Vigoor Emperor fight I pretty much just spam all my projectiles and try to use ninpo when his big skull is heading for me, hit him with Inazuma if he jumps to a stable platform. If he doesn't feel like jumping to the center the fight can drag on, especially once out of arrows.

Murai I...didn't really properly fight. I still had a ton of healing items so I just kept chugging them. I saved them up this long, I was going to use them damn it. It's a valid tactic! I'd heard he has a OHKO attack but he never did it to me. But hey, a win's a win.

So yeah, this was interesting to see NG1 in its initial state. Overall I'd say I prefer playing through Sigma still but I do like the more exploratory feel of solving puzzles and having more back and forth to do. But later games are definitely balanced better with more combat options which I think makes them more fun to play overall.

For beating the game I unlocked Ryu's one alternate outfit in the game, the cyber ninja outfit. It looks pretty cool. I also like that you just hear a pain grunt from Ryu when you do the right input to start in that outfit. I show it at the end. The outfit also comes with a Plasma Saber, which is basically just a reskinned Dragon Sword with whooshing lightsaber-ish sound effects. It's charming, but not enough to get me to play again.
