With over 10,000 feet of elevation, the Skyline trail (as part of Cactus to Clouds) is one of the hardest single trails in North America.
Due to time constraints, we cut our plan short and only ran/hiked the first 9-miles up (8,300ft), took the tram down and then ran another 7-miles back to the trailhead at the Palm Springs Museum of Art.
The complete hike to San Jacinto peak is 15 miles up (30+ round trip)
