TRIP REPORT | First Time on United B767! | United Boeing 767-400 | Madrid to New York Newark

Описание: United Trip Report flying from Madrid to New York Newark airport onboard one of the United Airlines Boeing 767-400ER on a beautiful early-spring day.

A very comfortable flight with United Airlines from Madrid to Newark onboard the Boeing 767-400. The Boeing 767 has a 2-3-2 seat config in economy class, which is much more comfortable than the usual 3-3-3 of the new B787 which apparently came to substitute the B767 in the mid-term.

I was really surprised by United Airlines. After having flown over the Atlantic with American Airlines and Delta Airlines, United positively surprised me. In terms of cabin, the one of the United B767-400s looks really modern. I guess it was recently updated.

In terms of catering the surprise was even better. The food, even though you can't compare it with the middle-east airlines one, I think it was the best of the 3 USA airlines that regularly operate this route. I went for the Chicken Piri Piri option with rice and beans, and I must say it was really tasty.

We took off from runway 36L in Madrid and quickly turned left towards Santiago de Compostela, the city from where we headed towards the Atlantic. After 4 hours of just seeing water, we could spot St. John's and Halifax areas. The views of the ice over the sea and all the St. Lawrence bay were stunning.

We entered the US over Maine and flew over Massachusetts, Burlington, and finally landed at New York Newark airport almost 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival time.
