On Day 2 of the Huemul Circuit, I crossed the first Tyrolean traverse over Río Túnel, just below Glaciar Túnel. This traverse is one of the most exciting parts of the trek, requiring a harness and carabiners to safely glide across the raging river.
The Huemul Circuit, located in Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina, is one of Patagonia’s most challenging and rewarding treks, offering incredible views of glaciers, mountains, and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
🔹 Dates: February 23-27, 2025 (5-day trek due to weather)
