This journey started at around 8:30 PM, and what followed was one of the longest (and most memorable) drives we’ve done so far.

Our first late-night stop was in Albury around 12:30 AM. We grabbed a quick break, changed drivers, stretched a little, and continued the journey under the quiet midnight sky.

As we passed the halfway mark, it slowly started becoming morning. Around 5:30 – 6:00 AM, the sun began to rise, and that was one of my favourite moments. The countryside slowly came into view: endless farms, cows, sheep, horses… I get way too excited seeing animals during road trips. 🐄🐑🐎

We made it to Dubbo and found a peaceful park to have a quick brunch. By that point, we were very hungry, but thankfully, we had packed home-cooked food. Best decision ever. We didn’t want to keep stopping again and again, so we ate, rested a bit, and got straight back on the road. Of course, no long drive is complete without some chaos.

Somewhere between midnight and sunrise, we started going a little crazy, but that’s what made it even more fun.

After hours of driving, sleepy moments, music, and countryside views… we finally arrived in Armidale.
