Описание: Can you tell the difference between my 1973 Henri Selmer Mark VI Alto Sax and a Silver Plated Mark VI from 1958? Selmers from the late #1940 s through the #1950 s are far more expensive…is it the sound? The rarity? The mythos? Selmers from around this time were made in post WWII France. Legend has it that they were made of uniquely forged brass with strange metal compositions due to the wartime metal rationing and post-war scrap metal recycling of materials left behind by the horrific battles and prolonged occupation of France by Germany. The metal to make these saxophones may have come from artillery shells and bullet casings! Also, many of the church bells in Europe were melted down for the war effort… This, of course, is all widely debated and has never been confirmed by Selmer. #selmer #markvi #jazz #music #ww2 #musichistory #factorfiction #comprisonvideo
