As I saw a lot of you commenting about opposition, I decided to make a video about it. And what better way to learn this key endgame tactic than with and endgame puzzle.

It’s white turn to play and win this game and you only have one right move to win the game, all others will draw it. Can you found all the winning moves?

But what is really an opposition? Simply put, is when the 2 kings opposed each other, because of the rule that required minimum one square distance between kings, we can use opposition to push away the enemy king and safely promote our pawn.

Having the opposition means it’s your opponent’s turn to move. If it’s black turn you say white has opposition because he made the las move, it it’s black turn that white has opposition because he made the last move.
