Like many impressionable people, it was the US release of Dynasty Warriors 3 that really sold me on the series. I'd actually played the first game, a passable 2.5D fighting game on the original Playstation and was unimpressed, but the second Omega Force game I played, Destrega, really caught my attention. We played a ton of it in my house.
When I saw Omega Force was behind the Dynasty Warriors games on the PS2, I jumped in head first and the rest is history- much like the characters in these books!
