Total Recall is Arnold Schwarzenegger's first movie he starred in during the 1990's being aired in 1990. It was a movie that had the one of the largest budgets of all time with a staggering 48 million dollars being poured in. It managed to clear approximately 260 million in the box office!

This movie is just another movie in the epic Schwarzenegger history.

Schwarzenegger plays Douglas Quaid, a man living on earth who is a simple construction worker with dreams of visiting Mars. Being set in 2084, Mars has been colonised by one sole corporation or man known as Vilos Cohaagen.

Quaid visits a company on Earth known as "Rekall" which provides its customers memories implanted into their brain, just like they've been on a holiday without actually leaving but leaving the memories forever. Something goes horribly wrong during his Rekall experience and Quaid snaps thinking he is actually a secret agent from Mars. The company erase his memory and send him home in a taxi.

Quaid is immediately attacked by his colleague at the construction job as Quaid was meant to have revealed his past. Quaid instinctively springs into action and disposes of these enemies. Racing home, he is then attacked by his wife and finds out his life is a lie and he is actually a henchmen for the Cohaagen on Mars but is also a double agent fighting for the people of Mars. Cohaagen owns all the air on Mars and everyone has to pay him if they want to remain living. He essentially has a monopoly on the oxygen market and wields it with an iron fist.

Quaid returns to Mars on the orders of himself, helping him in pre recorded messages. Quaid infiltrates the rebellion and in doing so leads Cohaagen and his men to the resistance leader and their leader is disposed of. Quaid is caught and taken to Cohaagen where he is set for memory reassignment.

Quaid escapes from this and confronts Cohaagen, imploring him to turn on the air for Mars. In a short fight, Cohaagen is left outside with no oxygen whilst Quaid manages to turn on the natural reactors that produce air for the planet, constructed by the original martians. Quaid saves the day and gets the girl and Mars can breathe freely for once.

This movie started a string of movies in the 1990's for Schwarzenegger and was another starring role in his history.

Total Recall is a masterpiece of film history and well worth the cutting into this compilation.
