In this video, I’m taking you along for a half marathon training run as part of my Manchester Marathon training plan with Runna — and it’s also my first time ever using gels 👀⚡️
I’ll talk you through:
• How my legs and body feel post-run
• Using energy gels on the run to stay fuelled
• My thoughts during the run, including the hills, views, and tougher sections
• How the run actually felt mentally and physically
• A full post-run debrief, breaking down stats, splits, pace, and overall performance
This run was all about building confidence for marathon training, learning how my body responds to gels, and seeing how I handle longer distances under fatigue.
