It is like a thief who disguises himself as a monk. You think the house is empty, but he is still inside, just wearing different clothes. In the same way, the ego does not die easily. You see, it evolves. Actually, it becomes humble, silent, even detached. And then it says, "I have left everything. I am nothing," and things like that. But it still exists as the one who claims the detachment. Are you getting it?
