Описание: On this episode I will be showing on how to start the Emergency generator which is the immediate power supply of the Ship in case of a Black out.The emergency generator on a cargo vessel will operate for at least 18 hours and for a passenger vessel for at least 36 hours, having auto started within 45 seconds of a Black Out.The procedure on how to enter inside the Emergency generator room is explained on how to start the ventilation fan and the louvers.The emergency shut off valve for the Emergency Generator is shown in this video.Prior starting the generator the Third Engineer will inspect and pre-check the engine and the Electronic Engineer will check all the electrical equipment including measurement of the voltage of the batteries.Additionally, the emergency generator switchboard is shown.The two ways of starting the generator is demonstrated.
