Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Sort your balloons into size 12cm, 28cm, 45cm and 260 (long modelling balloon). Whilst you are doing this, think if you would like the colours to be grouped or randomly scattered. If you want grouped – each cluster will contain similar/same colours. If you want scattered – each cluster will contain different coloured balloons
2. Blow up 2 x 28cm balloons and tie together to make a duo (2 balloons)
3. Repeat Step 2 and twist around your 2 duos to make a quad (4 balloons)
4. Blow up 1 x 28cm and 1 x 45cm, tie together then twist into the quad to make a cluster of 6 balloons
5. Repeat Steps 2 – 4 to make 8 clusters
6. “Ribbon a 260” then tie the two ends together to create a circle/band
7. Attach one cluster to another by using your 260 and placing over one balloon from one cluster and another balloon from another cluster.
8. Repeat Step 6 – 7 until all the clusters are attached to make a garland
9. It is recommended to put your garland in the desired position for the party
10. Blow up 3 x 12cm balloons and tie together to make a triplet (3 balloons)
11. Repeat Step 10
12. “Ribbon a 260” then tie one end to one triplet and the other to the other triplet
13. Repeat Steps 10 – 12 until you have about 7 sets
14. Wrap each set of 12cm triplets around the balloons in your garland to fill gaps as you see fit
TIPS & TRICKS:
"Ribbon a 260" - Pinch the tip of the 260 with one hand, then with your fingers pull and stretch until you reach the nozzle then tie off. This will make the 260 flat and with no air – like a ribbon. This strengthens the balloon making it better to work with
It is recommended to slightly underinflate your balloons.
Make your balloons rounder by squishing on a hard flat surface, allowing a little air to release
Balloons may pop, there are still more than enough balloons to create your garland.
Long periods of sun exposure can change the colour/finish of your balloons over time
Balloons may pop in the heat
If you no longer require your garland and want to pop the balloons with minimal noise and mess (particularly for confetti) - nip with a pair of scissors as close to the nozzle as possible
If you would like to attach your balloon to a wall, you can use a removeable command hook and rubber band/ribboned 260
