A significant fall in the mercury would be seen over central and south India. A drop of 2-3 degrees is also likely over northern plains and western India. Though, east and northeast parts would observe warm and humid conditions for the next 24 hrs, but a slight fall is likely thereafter. A sharp decline of 4-5 degrees is expected over Vidarbha and Telangana region.

The monsoon weather line passes through Bikaner, Ajmer, Guna, Sagar, Pendra, Jharsuguda, Bhubaneshwar and then to the eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Strong easterly winds would blow over Gangetic plains. An upper air cyclonic circulation persists over north east Arabian Sea and neighboring Gujarat region. Another upper air cyclonic circulation to continue over the north Bay of Bengal.

Heavy downpour likely over Telangana and south Chhattisgarh region. Moderate rain is expected at many places over Gujarat, east Rajasthan, central India and the entire Peninsular India except Tamil Nadu and Royalseema where rains would be light at a few places. Moderate to heavy rains would keep lashing the entire west coast. Northern plains, east and north east India would also receive light to moderate rains at a few places.

Now a look at the major cities.

A comfortable morning in the capital city at 26 deg with a cloudy sky. Light spell is a possibility. High humidity would irritate, Max may reach 33 Deg.

Mumbai sees a mainly overcast sky with moderate showers and a few heavy spells. Maximum and minimum will be 31 and 26 degrees.
Weather would be unbearably humid and hot in Kolkata, light showers are the only chance to bring relief in the afternoon or evening. Day will be warm at 33 degrees. Morning will remain easy at 26.
Perfect weather of Bangaluru will make other cities envious. Light rain and cloudy sky will keep the max at 28 while Minimum will be cool at 20.
Hyderabad will continue to enjoy pleasant weather. Light showers with a cloudy sky and maximum of 29 degrees will be comfortable while min will be 22.
Chennai, a charming morning at 24 deg with moderate breeze but the day would be uneasy and humid at 33 degrees. Light showers may bring some temporary relief towards the evening.
