"The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) estimates that around 193 million people in 53 countries experienced food insecurity in 2021. Post-harvest losses is a major driver of food insecurity in Africa besides climate change, conflict and economic shocks. In Ghana, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture has already recorded high post-harvest losses of up to 54% from farm to retail operations."
