Looking back at International Day of Education 2026, UNESCO GEM Report launched the 2026 Youth Report, “Lead with youth”, in partnership with UN Youth Office.
The message is clear: it is no longer enough to listen to young people – they must help lead the decisions that shape education. The report exposes gaps in genuine influence and urges governments toward formal, well-resourced, rights-based youth participation.
