Sabaton - Firestorm (English Lyrics)

Описание: World war 2 saw the first widespread use of strategic bombing, a new terror that struck the hearts of warring nations. Starting with the London Blitz in 1940 which pounded Britain's cities for two years, reducing tens of thousands of homes to rubble, destroying factories, churches, homes and shops alike. Britain retaliated on Germany with its own campaign of strategic air bombing which proved to be even more destructive. After the Blitz, Winston Churchill was quoted as saying "We will mete out [punishment] to the Germans the measure, and more than the measure, that they have meted out to us." This proved to be horrifically true, as hundreds of bombers attacked German cities, creating firestorms hundreds of feet high, incinerating cities. Some raids such as the infamous Dresden raid causing more casualties than the entire Blitz campaign.
