Opposing CETA and the Canada-European Union

Описание: On October 16, 2008, Canada and the EU publicly released a "Joint Study on Assessing the Costs and Benefits of a Closer EU-Canada Economic Partnership". To date, there have been nine rounds of negotiations toward a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union. The agreement addresses such areas as investment, labour mobility, regulatory cooperation, environment, and science and technology. In other words, the Harper government is forging a compact with Europe that would make the NAFTA agreement look like a Sunday church bingo game. Everything that was left out of NAFTA is included in this insidious accord; meaning that everything from municipal services, jobs, local governance and business will suffer. Sovereignty and self-determination will disappear and local enterprise will be ignored. Compounding this stupidity is the utter giveaway of our remaining natural resources. Our water will be the first victim of this catastrophic fire sale.

The most staggering facet of all this is that most Canadians are unaware it is even happening.
